Mr. Killerman lived in a modest tin hut in the hills behind Kilikanoon. Killerman’s Run reflects the rich landscape and harmony of the Clare Valley, combining wines from different regions into a natural and uncompromising drink. Each plot was vinified separately and only combined when the final wine was made. Fifteen-month aging in French oak barrels lends softness and elegance to the silky wine. Deep crimson color, aroma of red berries with a slight oakiness, sweet spices and dried herbs. In addition to the dark cherry and sweet spice notes of the grenache, the full-bodied plum and chocolate notes of the shiraz dominate. The notes of mataro smoked meats and herbs are complemented by firm tannins and subtle barrel nuances. grenache (50%), shiraz (40%), mataro (10%)
